[Fiesta Online] Kingdom Quests

[Kingdom Quest Preparation]

What to bring with you

  • Full HP/SP stones are a must
  • Potions are optional, though often come in handy. Some classes do not have enough SP stones to last a KQ.
  • Scrolls are optional, but always come in handy.
  • A party - partying up before a KQ starts saves time and hassle.

Stones & Potions
Stock up on stones at least, potions may come in handy for yourself.  You cannot trade in KQs, but if somebody else has run out of stones/potions you are able to drop your potions to give to them.

Scrolls
Aim: The mobs in Kingdom Quests are often either a higher level than yourself/your regular quest monsters, or have higher evasion.  Therefore you should always use at the very least an aim scroll - T1 will be fine up to ~level 40, after which you should begin to use T2 until you can afford T3s.
Speed: Is very useful for a) gathering mobs up and running them to others for easier killing - means everyone is not running all over the place and b) escaping situations you can't handle or kiting.
Defence/Vitality/Magic defence/Evasion: Always helpful if you can make/afford to buy them, especially if you forsee yourself getting aggro often.
Mentality: Optional, no harm in using one though.  Helps you not run out of SP as fast, which can be an issue in long Kingdom Quests.

Parties
In the Kingdom Quest screen, you can see names of players who have joined up.  It can be a good idea to contact these players and ask if they want to form a party before the KQ actually starts, ensuring you aren't left without a party.  Being in a party maximises not only the exp you gain, but your usefulness and survivability also.

Know your role and limits
Being aware of what you should to to be most useful to others and contribute towards the success of the KQ is vital for a good player.  For example:

In most situations damage dealers i.e. archers and mages should be on the back line, attacking the same targets as the tank/s.  This makes the monsters less likely to aggro to the DDs, who naturally have less defence, and helps the mobs stay in one place, making it easier for AoEs to hit more of them.

[Fiesta Online] Alchemy/Production Skills

Alchemy/Production skills

[Overview]

What are alchemy skills?
Alchemy skills are item production and utility skills.  They enable you to make

  • Potions
  • Buff scrolls
  • Stones for upgrading equipment
The utility skills are
  • Decomposition - make several lower quality items into higher tier items.
  • Composition - make one higher quality item into several lower tier items.
How many of these skills can I choose, per character?
One character may choose only two alchemy skills.  However, many players choose to use an alternative character so that they may level more than two alchemy skills.  A character's level has no effect on its alchemy skill level.

Why should I learn alchemy skills?
As well as creating items useful to oneself, alchemy skills can be very profitable as all items created by them are in high demand by players.  Using alchemy skills is a wonderful way to make money without having to use cash-shop items.

How do I level my alchemy skills to make higher tier items?
The only way to level your alchemy skills is to use them.  See below for more details of simplest ways to level each skill.  Leveling them can be is a pain in the ass, but it's definitely worth it.

What materials do I need for alchemy skills?
See below for brief lists of item types for each skill.

[Potion making]
Allows you to make potions for regaining HP, SP, curing status ailments and increasing resistance to status ailments.

HP Potion - Restores HP instantly (Higher tiers restore more HP)
SP Potion - Restores SP instantly (Higher tiers restore more SP)
HP Regeneration Potion - Regenerates HP over 15 seconds (Higher tiers restore more HP)
SP Regeneration Potion - Regenerates SP over 15 seconds (Higher tiers restore more SP)
Cure - Removes 1 disease debuff of same or lower tier as potion (Higher tiers can remove higher debuff tiers)
Antidote - Removes 1 poison debuff of same or lower tier as potion (Higher tiers can remove higher debuff tiers)
Bless - Increases curse resistance (Higher tiers increase the resistance %)
Antitoxin - Increases poison resistance (Higher tiers increase the resistance %)
Antibiotic - Increase illness resistance (Higher tiers increase the resistance %)

All potions share a cooldown time, HP/SP stones are on a different cooldown.

Uses Meat, Spirit's Nectar, Magic Crystals, Signs, Herbs.
Becomes most profitable at Tier 3 and up.

[Scroll making]
Allows you to make buff scrolls

Shield Increase - Increases defense for 60 minutes (Higher tiers increase amount of defense given)

Uses Leather, Beast Leather, Summoned Beast Leather, Beast Dogtooth, Sap, Mushrooms, Toadstools, Slime Jelly.
Becomes most profitable at Tier 2 and up.

[Stone making]
Elrue - Used to upgrade items from +0 to +3
Xir - Used to upgrade items from +3 to +6
Lix - Used to upgrade items from +6 to +9

Uses Spirit Dust, Gem Dust, Soul Dust and Ore.
Becomes most profitable at Tier 2 and up.

[Material Decomposition]

Allows you to make several lower-tier items from one higher-tier item e.g. 2 Low Quality Copper Ore from one Normal Quality Copper Ore.  The number of LQ items gained varies by each item.

Is very complimentary to Potion, Scroll and Stone making, as you often get material drops above your production level.  By decomposing you have a use for these items, instead of saving them for when you can make higher tiers, or selling them.

Uses any materials, and Alchemy Stones.  The Tier of Alchemy Stone needed will be specified in the item recipe.

[Material Composition]

Allows you to make one higher-tier item from several lower-tier items.  The number of LQ items used varies by each item.

Is very complimentary to Potion, Scroll and Stone making, as you can make outleveled materials into useful higher-tier ones, instead of throwing them away.

Uses any materials, and Alchemy Stones.  The Tier of Alchemy Stone needed will be specified in the item recipe.

[How to level alchemy skills]

Potions, Scrolls, Stones
Buy Low Quality materials from Item Merchant Nina in Elderine.  Stock up on as many as you can while leaving one free inventory space for the product.  Afk or whatever and leave your character making tier 1 items.

Decomposition and Composition

Gather a bunch of Low Quality Copper Ore from Echo Cave, and Low QUality Mushrooms from Sea of Greed.  Buy Alchemy Stones (Tier 1 for these items) from Item Merchant Nina.  Decompose your items, then re-Compose them.  Rinse and repeat as desired.
